Starting situation

Microsoft Dynamics CRM supports the user in planning appointments and in reporting.

Appointment subjects and the appointment venue must be entered manually, although in most cases, this information is saved with the contact/company/lead.

In sales opportunities and cases, the relevant information for field staff can be updated, but these will not be synchronized in the appointment on his mobile handset.


The Meeting Management add-on speeds up the process of appointment planning and reporting. In addition to this, the add-on relieves the user from having to capture the subject of the appointment and the location information.

The Place field is filled automatically with the address, place and telephone number, the subject field is filled with the name of the company (B2B) or the first name/surname combination (B2C).

In case of delays in arrival for the appointment or in case appointments are postponed, the customer can be contacted from the mobile phone.

Further, CRM attributes from various entities can be synchronized in the description of the appointment, so that the field staff can prepare for the appointment while traveling, without taking the help of the CRM-system.

The information on the appointment (Subject, Place, Description) are synchronized in Microsoft Outlook and hence also in Mobile Outlook.

All the important information pertaining to the appointment are available to the field staff, even en route (including the information about the discussed sales opportunity).
