Structured lists must be imported into the system- or into customized entities from Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Often, these are lists that contain attributes per dataset that must be filled in different, mutually connected entities. The standard functionality of Microsoft Dynamics CRM does not offer any help in this matter.
The AddOn enables the simple import of lists of e.g. event participants, fair leads, scanned visiting cards, products, installations, etc., or the execution or fresh migration of the existing systems or lists to Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Fill and update your CRM solution with the help of data from CSV-/TXT files, e.g., exported from an ERP system or a web application. Import lists containing attributes simultaneously to several tables of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The import takes place once at the click of a button or is scheduled according to your volumes. The AddOn supports one-time import, as well as, periodic import of individual files or even full directories containing CSV/TXT files having identical column structure.
Thanks to the AddOn, data from lists in the CSV/TXT format can be imported to one or several interconnected system- or customized entities. Thus, for instance, simultaneous import of companies and contacts (company- and contact information is available in the same line of the list) is possible, or the import of companies with campaign reactions. For columns having headers identical to the CRM attributes, assignment takes place automatically. The assignment of columns to attributes can flexibly be defined via GUI. Datasets that do not yet exist in the CRM system are created afresh, already existing datasets are updated.

CSV files or formatted TXT files serve as data sources. Several adapters can be created with specific definitions. One differentiates between file adapters for reading a file with a defined name, and folder adapters for reading all CSV/TXT files of a defined folder. A few sample files of both types are available here.

|Remaining columns||The actual values to be imported are located here. The column headers must correspond to the English attribute name of the destination attribute of the CRM system.|
You can create additional adapters for different data sources having different structures and destination entities independently. There is no limit on the number of adapters. The scheduling of the execution is valid for all adapters.
If data is to be imported from one data source or one or more CSV-/TXT files having identical data structure to the CRM system, one can e.g. configure account- and contact-adapter with an own definition and a own Csv/Txt-file.
Successfully processed CSV/TXT files are moved to a Completed sub-folder, not successfully processed ones are moved to the Failed sub-folder. Errors that occur during the import operation are logged. A CRM user can be defined who will be informed via CRM task.
With the demoversion you can import only 20 records.
